        • background/introduction to mindfulness,

        • discussion of your personal circumstances/background, what you hope to get from the course etc.

        • the science of birth: birthing homones, the nervous system and what ‘blocks’ labour progress

        • ‘taking in the good’ practices in positivity

        • practices for connecting with your baby and your intentions for this pregnancy and birth

      • part 2:

        • mindfulness of breath

        • breathing techniques for early labour and birth

        • how and why accessing a state of ‘let go’ is important during labour and birth

        • breathing techniques to practice ‘letting go’ and relaxing the mind

        • father's role during birth preparation and labour

      • part 3:

        • mindfulness of body

        • birthing positions and movements to enhance labour progress

        • deep relaxation and deep release exercises for birth preparation and during labour

        • how we relate to the body during pregnancy

        • the birthing body; bodily wisdom

        • physiology of labour onset and induction of labour

      • part 4:

        • mindfulness of feeling

        • working with pain and physical discomfort

        • stages of labour and what to expect

        • when to go to hospital

        • effective use of Mindful birthing techniques during labour

      • part 5:

        • mindfulness of emotions and thoughts/mental processes

        • practices for working with difficult/challenging emotions during pregnancy and after the birth

        • working with self-judgement, self-criticism and the negativity bias, “the bad mother complex”

        • writing a birth proposal or birth “plan”

        • use of mantras for promoting a positive mind and experience

      • part 6: kindness practices

        • being a Mindful mother/parent

        • self-care as the basis for a caring relationship with baby

        • practices for self care and developing loving relationships

        • practices for working with fear during pregnancy, birth and postnatally

        • practices for increasing trust in yourself and your intuition as a mother

Terms and Conditions for all JG Mindful Birth courses

Booking

A booking does not constitute the creation of a contract and a teacher reserves the right to decline to process a booking for any reason whatsoever.  If the booking is not able to be fulfilled the teacher will promptly refund all monies.

Participant cancellation

The fee will be repaid promptly and in full (minus any booking fee charges incurred) if your baby arrives before the course start date or in the very unlikely event of the course being cancelled.  These are the only circumstances under which a refund will be made.  

Course cancellation

 The teacher reserves the right to amend or cancel any course, course times, dates or published prices. Changes to course prices, times and dates will be advised before the course start date and any course already paid in full will not be subject to the increased price.
